SOPA/PIPA hasn’t passed. I don’t understand how they have the right to do something like this to a site with clear regulations about take-downs of copyrighted files, especially not through the DNS as it apparantly seems to have been done.

Please do correct me if I’m wrong, but this form of take-down seems to be currently illegal. This is likely why they were so anxious to pass the bill as fast as possible.
